Assignment Brief
This assignment should consist of two major parts.
1st Part
The first part (20%) in the literature review report, which should cover the following elements and the instructions from your supervisors:
- Concepts, definitions
- Development history/background
- Principles and theories
- Relevant legislation and regulations
- Technologies and industry practices
- Current relevant research and case studies
- Relevant research methods
- Addressing research problems and questions in the research area
The literature reviewed should be relevant to your topic and can help you to build up knowledge background and to address some research problems and questions.
2nd Part
The second part (10%) of this assignment is the proposal of your research design, which should cover the following points:
- The research problems and questions in your research topic area addressed from your literature review
- What is your research aim that is defined by some of your research problems and questions?
- Your research objectives which defined from your aim
- The research methods (literature review, data collection, and analysis) which are supposed to be used to achieve each objective, and justify other options
- Your research plan in the 2nd semester for data collection and analysis, and dissertation writing up.
