For the final assignment in this course, all students will develop a formal Group Proposal, developing an eight-week (eight session) psychoeducational group therapy program, focusing on the treatment of either an identified substance use disorder and/or process addiction. Each student will develop a written Group Proposal (due Session 6). Additionally, each individual will record a video presentation of their proposed group, to be shared with the rest of the class (due Session 7).

By the end of Session 6, please complete the following:

Submit the second part of your Group Project Proposal, including the following elements in adding to your Part 1 submission:
Ground Rules/Norms: What rules and norms do you feel need to be implemented to ensure that the group functions to its highest potential?
Ethical Issues: What ethical issues are inherent in your group program? How will you handle the issue of confidentiality, informed consent, parental permission, etc.?
Multicultural Issues: What multicultural issues need to be addressed? How will you handle ethnic or cultural diversity? What issues might arise in your group, given the problem and population?
Risks and Benefits: What are the risks and benefits of the group program, both in a general sense and of your group specifically.
Evaluation: How will you evaluate the efficacy of the group experience? An evaluation form is mandatory. Include a copy of your evaluation form in the Appendix.
Faith Integration: If this program was to be offered in a faith-based treatment setting, how would you integrate biblical principles into your program?
Group Sessions: for each session describe: What is the specific goal(s) of the session? Describe any potential problems or strengths. List the discussion topics. (You do not need to develop the specific teaching points of the lesion topics). Describe any activities/techniques that you will employ for the session.
Once you have completed Part 2 of this assignment, please combine it with Part 1 to complete your Group Proposal Project. The entire length of this proposal should be nine to ten pages total. Please be sure to cite any references used appropriately following APA standard formatting guidelines
